Primary school fees cover the cost of stationery for students in reception to year 6.
When are we getting our missing school photos
School for 2025 will resume for Preschool to Year 7, all Inclusion classes, and our Year 11 cohort on Tuesday 28 January, following the Australia Day public holiday.
Students in Years 8, 9, and 10 will return on Wednesday 29 January.

Hi I’m just wondering where all the preschool class photos are? There are only 14 pictures with 2 names absent but there were 39/40 kids in preschool. Many Thanks.
Joanne McGuiness it could be that they didn't have photo sharing permission from those families maybe or these were the students who had those permissions who weren't mid year intake students. I'm not sure and it's just a guess

On the last day of Term 4, students will be dismissed at 2.15 pm.
All buses, including Adelaide Metro, will depart at 2.30 pm. 🚌 For OSHC users, services start from 2:15 pm.

What an incredible day at Riverbanks College! Our first-ever Market Day was a resounding success as our Year 7 HASS students truly embraced the $20 Boss program, turning their ideas into innovative products with creativity, teamwork, and entrepreneurial spirit.
The market was alive with energy as students showcased their creations, demonstrating impressive budgeting, prototyping, and ethical resourcing skills. From unique crafts to delicious treats, it was inspiring to see their hard work come to life!
A huge thank you to our amazing parents, caregivers, staff, and primary students who joined in to support the event. Your enthusiasm and engagement made the day even more memorable. 🛍️💡

Year 10 Key Dates
For Year 10 students who have successfully completed their EIF, the last official school day will be Wednesday, December 4 (Week 8) finishing at 3:10pm.
Inclusion and special class students will continue attending school until Friday, December 13 (Week 9), with a finish time of 2:15 PM on that day.
This year has been an exciting journey for our students as they have explored various career pathways, engaged with VET courses, completed their first compulsory SACE subject, and gained a deeper understanding of SACE requirements. They have also had the opportunity to participate in work experience and experience brand new subjects.
All other students will finish on Friday December 13 week 9 at 2:15pm
🏃♂️🌭 Support Movember & Mental Health Awareness! 🌭🏃♂️
Our amazing staff have taken on a HUGE challenge this November – running 1000km to raise awareness for men’s health and mental well-being. It's been a tough slog, but nothing compared to the struggles faced by so many men dealing with mental health issues. 💪
To help fuel their efforts, we're running a Sausage Sizzle all day this Friday 29 November. Bring along your gold coins and grab a bite, and show your support! 🌭✨ The last few kilometres will be run on our school oval alongside some of our students, so it’s a great chance to cheer them on!

RBC Primary Run Club 🏃🏃♂️
This term, Mr. D started a run club for primary students in R-6 to help increase fitness, wellness and focus at school. The club currently runs its weekly meets on Monday mornings before school from 8.10am-8.35am. Students are encouraged to run, jog or walk (or a combination of all three) around the primary oval as many times as they can.
Since the club's first meet in Week 2 this term, 70 individual students from years R-6 have combined for a total of 959 laps or 287.7kms. Individually, students are recognised for their achievements with badges. This week Tyler and Edward, both Year 5 students, unlocked the first individual achievements of the club, earning their Term 4 Half-Marathon badge for completing 21.1kms so far this term. There are a number of students across years 3-6 also close to completing this achievement with a handful of R-2 students close to the 10km achievement for Term 4. Watch this space!

Is there anyway to bring over a child that attend OSCH on the Monday mornings? My son desperately wants to join but can’t as he’s at OSCH at that time Or is this something we could consider for next year if it continues?

A big congratulations to our students who participated in the 2024 NASSSA Maths Olympics last week. The students had a fabulous night collaborating with their friends using their maths knowledge and problem solving skills to conquer six rounds of puzzling questions. A special mention to our Year 7 team who took out second place in a very competitive field. We are so proud of all of our participants. Well done!

Our year 7 students have been working very hard to design a business venture for the market day.
Students have budgeted their funding and orders have been made; over the next couple of weeks, these students will be continuously developing their business skills, and will be making their products, ready to sell on the day.

Will anyone take over the primary students to buy?
The Primary Concert will be held on Thursday 28 November, in our school gym, from 6.30pm.
As seats are limited, each family will be provided with an initial allocation of 2 tickets. To help us manage ticket distribution, please confirm your attendance using the link, forms.office.com/r/1mB3ZQwJTc, by 3.30pm, Friday 22 November.
If you would like to be considered for additional tickets, please ensure to complete the details using the same link by 3.30pm, Friday 22nd November. Only one form is required per family. If capacity allows any unallocated tickets will be distributed in chronological order, in accordance with the time of the request.
We are all looking forward seeing you for what is sure to be an entertaining night.

Tomorrow is the day! Come and sing a rainbow with us as we take part in our Colour Run Fundraiser tomorrow at 1.15pm to 2.00pm.

Well done to all those who have been busy raising money for this event, we have currently raised just over $16,000. All money raised will go towards supporting extra-curricular programs and new equipment.

Remembrance Day, 11 November, is one of the most important days on our commemorative calendar. It's a day when we acknowledge those who died or suffered while serving in wars, conflicts, and peace operations. On 11 November 1918, marked the end of the first World War by the guns of the Western Front falling silent after four years of continuous warfare.
The RBC school community will observe a minute’s silence, which will be dedicated to those soldiers who died fighting to protect the nation. This is a time to remember relatives, friends, and others, or reflect on the sacrifices of those who have served and died while serving for Australia.

$20 Boss program 🛍️💰
Through this hands-on project, the year 7 students will each receive $20 to create and sell products at our Riverbanks College Market Day! The students will develop important skills like budgeting, prototyping, ethical resourcing, and teamwork, all while learning how to turn a small investment into a profitable product. It’s a fantastic way to see creativity, entrepreneurship, and collaboration in action! 🎨🤝

Parents and caregivers are invited to visit the stalls at the start of the day, with primary school students coming in later for their turn to explore the Market. 🏫🎉
2025 Instrumental Lessons
Lessons are available individually for Rock school instruments – Bass Guitar, Electric Guitar, Acoustic Guitar, Drum kit, Voice and Piano at private tuition prices.
Group HPI lessons are available free of charge for trombone, trumpet and saxophone, however hire for these instruments is $80 per term or BYO instrument.
Students enrolled in Year 9, 10, 11 Music for a full year will automatically be enrolled in a HPI instrumental lesson at no cost. They may elect a private lesson instead (at own cost).
